Ken obtained his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Aurora Family Therapy Center at the University of Winnipeg (formerly known as Interfaith) in 2008. Prior to this, he worked as a Probation Officer with sexual offenders, where he discovered his passion for helping others heal from past traumas. Over the years, Ken has had the privilege of working in diverse settings, including with Indigenous children in northern Manitoba, at a drug and alcohol treatment center, and a wellness center, addressing various presenting issues. As a therapist, Ken prioritizes building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, drawing from family systems theory and a range of approaches such as trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and narrative therapies. Guided by a Buddhist saying, Ken believes that healing and growth occur when individuals come to a better place with all parts of themselves.
